School Info and History

aerial of schoolSkyridge Elementary School, home of the Falcons, is where students soar!  Our school has its roots in the original Auburn Grammar School and Lincoln Way School.  In 1990, Skyridge moved to its present location, housed in portables until construction was completed in 1994.  Skyridge serves students in Transitional Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.

Skyridge students are served by a fully credentialed staff consisting of one principal, 15 classroom teachers, one Resource teacher, one Special Day Class teacher, one Physical Education teacher, and one VAPA teacher. Skyridge School has a wonderful support staff, including paraeducators, one library technician, and additional support staff for specialized student needs. Additionally, Skyridge students have access to a fully-staffed Wellness Center, consisting of two Mental Health Specialists, a School Psychologist, and a Family Support Specialist.

Skyridge has a Parent Teacher Club (PTC) that actively supports our staff and students. Many of the accomplishments of the students and school are made possible through the financial support and effort of the PTC volunteers. PTC provides funds for student assemblies, classroom supplies, student awards, family events, classroom Art Docents, and informational educational programs for parents, students and teachers.  PTC meetings are announced on the Skyridge PTC website, AUSD Skyridge Facebook page, Class Dojo, school marquee, and the principal sends out weekly emails to parents and families.

Skyridge students participate in a variety of activities throughout the school year such as Morning Trekkers Club, Cross Country, Drama Club, Dance Club, Spanish Club, Change Makers Club, Student Council, Winter Concerts, Meet the Masters Art Program,Sight Word Busters, garden-based Outdoor Learning, STEAM and Globe Programs, educational field trips, and other classroom activities.
